Writing Wanderer

I'm a travel blogger with a BFA in Creative Writing, helping Black women over 40 overcome fear and travel solo—smartly, safely, and affordably. I know what it's like to sometimes have flying anxiety, real-life responsibilities, and a limited budget, but I also know how to find the deals, make the connections, and go anyway. With firsthand solo travel experience and a Master's in Digital Marketing in progress, I provide real-world advice, practical tips, and unfiltered storytelling for women ready to explore. I stand out from the rest because I don't just inspire travel—I make it accessible, relatable, and real.

My Story

Travel has been woven into the fabric of my life since childhood. Every summer, my grandmother and I packed our bags for California, turning plane rides into lessons in independence. When my California cousins came down to Texas, I'd hop in the car with them, making the long drive back to Los Angeles, where we'd explore, laugh, and soak in the magic of summer. I still remember the first time I saw the Grand Canyon in Arizona—wide-eyed, awestruck, realizing just how big and beautiful the world truly is.

But while the road trips were fun, the flights back home? Those were solo. From a young age, I learned how to navigate airports, read departure boards, and find my own way. That early exposure made me fearless about traveling alone—something that has shaped my journey ever since.

Fast forward to today: I'm a wife, mother to incredible adult children, and a grandmother to seven amazing humans. I'm also a published ebook author, with my collection of short stories, The Sly Sound and Other Short Stories, capturing pieces of my storytelling soul. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing. I am currently pursuing my Master of Science degree in Digital Marketing, blending my love for storytelling with the ever-evolving world of digital content.

Through Pierre's Travel Pages, I want to inspire women—especially Black women and solo travelers over 40—to embrace the beauty of exploring on their own terms. Whether it's a weekend getaway or a passport-stamped adventure, I believe travel is about freedom, discovery, and a little bit of magic.

So, if you're looking for travel stories with personality, tips that come from real experience, and a reminder that solo travel is for all of us, you're in the right place. Let's explore together. ✈️💫
